Empowering Youth to Heal, Mobilize, and Lead

A community-led program for youth aged 15–29 in Toronto to explore advocacy, organize for change, and heal through collective empowerment.

At a time when youth are leading global movements for justice, CFL creates a space to ground that power in community, knowledge, and care. Whether you're an emerging leader, an artist-activist, or just beginning your advocacy journey, this program will meet you where you are, and help you grow.

What is CFL?

The Cultivating Futures Lab (CFL) is a 7-week, in-person program created by The Rights Project to support marginalized youth in building the tools, knowledge, and confidence to advocate for themselves and their communities.

Through workshops, discussions, and hands-on projects, participants will explore human rights, advocacy, and community organizing, while grounding their work in care, trauma-responsiveness, and collective healing.

Program Recap

Over 6 transformative weeks, young people across Toronto came together to explore advocacy, and imagine futures rooted in justice, care, and connection. Together, we grew our capacity as organizers, advocates, and community builders while reimagining what it means to create change.
